Muay Thai, the Science of Eight Limbs...
Developed in Thailand, the devastating art of Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) combines the body's 'eight limbs'; knees, elbows, hands and legs to produce a tough, practical and devastating form of combat sport and self-defence.
From ages 5 - 14 the Kids Muay Thai club is designed to teach your child a realistic and practical Martial Art self defence system. So many times we hear that pupils have studied for 2 years, yet haven't really progressed much in their current martial, or one of the main purposes of Martial Arts - Self defence.
We offer two types of Junior Class,
Mini Muay Thai
- Mini Muay Thai
- Junior Muay Thai
is designed for children from the ages 5 to 8 years. By teaching set age groups this allows for a more tailored class structure that enables children to realise their full potential, and train with their peers and progress is a friendly and un-intimidating environment.
Junior Muay Thai
is designed for children from the ages 8 to 14 years. By splitting the class by age we have seen that children's learning abilities are not suppressed, but maximised when training with peers their same age.
By teaching set age groups this allows for a more tailored class structure that enables children to realise their full potential, and train with their peers and progress is a friendly and un-intimidating environment.
The benefits we have seen through this are:
- Better social skill development in children
- Conflict resolution
- And above all, kids having fun, which is really important in the process of learning
classes have the same emphasis as the parent classes, and the same syllabus is taught. This gives the option for those parents that do not want to participate to be able to sit and watch their children learn self defence from the side-lines.
Why not come along and see for yourself, the first two weeks are free, no commitment, so you can see if your child likes it without the upfront cost of uniform and monthly fees.
